The students passed out of Ansal Institute’s various professional courses of National and International repute were honoured by their alma mater on the occasion of Second Annual Alumni Reunion on 5th January, 2008. About 45 alumni of both national and international programs joined the reunion celebrations and made it a memorable event. Alumni traveled from various parts of the world to attend this Reunion. They become nostalgic about their days in the Institute and expressed gratitude for the Institute’s contribution to their success. They interacted with the students and guided them with their experience. All of them were very happy and felt proud to see the phenomenal growth and giant strides their Alma mater has made in the past few years in terms of infrastructure, faculty and international collaborations. On this occasion Alumni Executive Body was also constituted which will now continuously work to strengthen our alumni network and will plan events and activities in which our alumni can take part throughout the year.For the first time, two awards have been instituted to recognize the accomplishments and contribution of the Alumni to the cause of AIT fraternity. The first recipient of the award is Mr. Rahul Pruthi, a 2002 batch BS (CIS) student for his outstanding contribution to the cause of AIT fraternity and achieving many professional honors in the US after leaving AIT. Various fun games, organized on this occasion are as follows:
Apart from fun games and formal function was also organized in the new ly built Conference Hall of D-Block, in which Mementos were given to all the members of AIT Alumni Association. While addressing the alumni during the function, Prof. M.P. Singh, Director, AIT informed all the members present that during the last few years over 400 students from Ansal Institute have been accepted by the reputed & accredited overseas universities in the US, Australia and Canada and Ansal Institute’s alumni in the US have won more than 100 President’s and Dean’s honor awards for their excellent academic performance. This was followed by addresses of Executive Committee members and a few cultural events which include performances by AIT students, alumni and AIT Band. The day program concluded with an electrifying jam session and refreshments in which the alumni, students, faculty and staff participated enthusiastically. Dr.
A.K. Yadav, Faculty In-charge Alumni Affairs thanked the alumni
for gracing the occasion and appealed to generate greater response
for the next edition on 3rd Jan 2009. He also requested the alumni
to help in strengthening the network and increase the sphere of
activities by participation.
