| Our 104 students of MBA and 32 students
of PGDRM attended the Partnership Summit 2008 at hotel
Crowne Plaza from 16-18 January 2008. The topic of the
summit was “Emerging Consensus: Inclusive and Sustainable
Developments”. There were nine Plenary Sessions in all
spread over this three days summit ranging from “Accelerating
Inclusive & Sustainable Growth, Integrating with
Globe”, “Indices for Development: Need for Change?”
to “Charting Growth: Making it Inclusive” and “the Doha
Round: A Multidimensional View”.
Our students got the opportunity to imbibe knowledge
from eminent speakers and policy makers like Sh. P.
Chidambaram, Minister of Finance, Govt. of India,
Sh. Kamal Nath, Minister of Commerce and Industry,
Govt. of India, Sh. Sunil Bharti Mittal, CEO, Bharti
Enterprises, Sh. Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero
Corporate Services Ltd., Sh. Analjit Singh, Chairman,
Max India Group of Companies and Sh. Kapil Sibal,
Union Minister of Science and Technology, Govt. of
India and many prestigious speakers from abroad as
well like Mr. Ferenc Gyurcsany, Prime Minister of
Hungary, Mr. Digby Jones, Minister of State for Trade
& Investment, UK, Ms. Sandra Pupatello, Minister
of Economic Development and Trade, Ontario, Mr. Vivian
Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development,
Singapore and many more.
Our students could understand various dynamics of
policy making at national and international levels
in the words of those who are the authorities for
these policies and practices. This was in fact an
exposure for our students to witness and understand
how the partnership for growth between industries
and governments takes place.
