CCNA Certification
The CCNA exam is the
qualifying exam available to candidates
pursuing a single-exam option for
the Cisco Certified Network Associate
CCNA certification. The CCNA (640-801)
exam will test materials from the
new Interconnection Cisco Network
Devices (ICND) course as well as the
new Introduction to Cisco Networking
Technologies (INTRO) course.
The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified
Network Associate) indicates a foundation
in and apprentice knowledge of networking.
CCNA certified professionals can install,
configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and
dial access services for small networks
(100 nodes or fewer), including but
not limited to use of these protocols:
IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP
RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access
Lists.
CCNA certifications are valid for
three years.

SYLLABUS: CCNA 3.1
Cisco Certified Network Associate
(CCNA)
CCNA is a 280-hour curriculum,
and the first step to a Cisco career
certification path. Particular emphasis
is given to using decision-making
and problem-solving techniques and
concepts to solve networking problems.
Students learn how to install and
configure Cisco switches and routers
in multiprotocol networks using local
and wide-area networks (LANs and WANs),
provide Level 1 troubleshooting service,
and improve network performance and
security. Upon successful completion
of this course, students receive a
Certificate of Completion.
