| The Library is
a backbone of academic and research activities
of the Institute and has been catering to
the information needs of the faculty members,
students, staff, and research scholars.
The Library has around 22,000 volumes of
books covering the disciplines of Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, Information
Technology, Management, Mass Communications,
Agriculture Bio-System Engineering, Hotel
Management, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics,
Bio-Technology, Retail Management, Chemistry
and sociology. In addition to this, non-book
materials such as CD-ROMs, audios tapes, and
slides are also available.

The Library offers Book Bank facility in
which student members are provided with a
set of textbooks as per the recommendations
of the concerned instructors. Students can
keep Book Bank books for the entire semester.
This system helps students to have continued
access to the required textbooks.
All operations of the Library are automated
with the help of an integrated LIBsys, library
software package. LIBsys consist of modules
on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation and
serial. The database of the entire collection
of books has been created and available through
On-Line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) to
the users via campus network.
The Library being a member of INDEST Consortium
(Indian National Digital Library in Science
and Technology Consortium), under the aegis
of the MHRD, provides on-line access to science
& engineering database services for IEEE
e-resources. For the Management Faculty and
Students, Central Library is providing on-line
access to more than dozen of International
Journals and Magazine through SAGE Publications.
The Library is also member of Developing
Library Network (DELNET) for sharing the resources
among its member libraries.
The Library occupying floor space of over
600 sq. meter and is centrally air-conditioned
which can accommodate around 250 users at
a time to carry out academic and research
activities such as reading books, accessing
electronic journals, internet, computer programming
and software development etc. It is connected
to high speed Internet and intranet of AIT
network.
