| Mr.
Shamsher Singh completed his Master of Business
Administration (MBA) degree with specialization
in Marketing Management in 1996 from Department
of Management Science, University of Pune
(PUMBA). He has successfully completed his
Post Graduate Diploma in Export-Import Management
from Indian Merchant Chamber, Mumbai in 1998,
Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management
from IGNOU, New Delhi in 2002, and Post Graduate
Degree in Public Administration in 1992 from
Punjab University, Chandigarh.
He has cleared the “NET” examination conducted
by the UGC for the faculty positions in Indian
Universities.
Mr. Singh has submitted Ph. D thesis in
Management to Jamia Hamdard University, New
Delhi (Joint Program of Jamia Hamdard University
and MDI Gurgaon )under supervision of Dr.
Anita Goyal of MDI Gurgaon. His topic of research
is “The Study of Effectiveness of Customer
Relationship Management in Indian Banking
Sector with special reference to NCR Delhi”.
Before joining Ansal Institute, Mr. Singh
served in the Indian Air Force for 20 years
(1983-2003) in Electronics stream working
on Sophisticated High Power Radar Systems
used by Indian Air Force. He worked in various
operational and administrative capacities
and in different parts of the country including
Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat. He has been
actively involved in providing maintenance
and Air Defence Support to Various Aircraft
and Radar systems during ‘OP VIJAY Kargil
Conflict and OP PRAKARAM’.
From March 1999 to June 2003, Mr. Singh
was actively involved in teaching and research
activities at Air Force Station, Tughlakabad,
New Delhi in the field of Management (Marketing
& Human Resources Management), Electronics
and Indigenisation of Import Substitute for
various Electronics equipment and spare parts
used in Indian Air Force. He has also undertaken
various research studies in the field of Indigenisation
of Import substitution – a new trend towards
becoming “Self-Reliant” in Defence production
and other related areas.
Mr. Singh has joined Ansal Institute in
July 2003 and teaches Marketing Management,
Business Policy and Strategic Management,
Export-Import Management, besides other related
subjects.
He has also excelled in extra-co-curricular
activities. He represented Delhi in National
Kho-Kho championship and was a leading member
of his school and college team in badminton
and cricket. He also takes keen interest in
quizzes, debates, speech competition and drama.
He has also written a few articles in various
journals on Customer Relationship Management.
