Prof. Gupta did his B.Tech. in 1971 and M.Tech. in 1973 from I.I.T. Kanpur and has vast experience in the various fields / departments of Electronics. He has conducted courses and supervised various projects for M.Tech. students as visiting professor at M.S. University, Baroda.

He has wide exposure of various Electronic Industries, particularly in the field of design & development. In his initial jobs, he worked in R&D Departments at various levels & established, headed and got in–house R&D recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, where various state-of- the-art Electronic projects (using analog, digital & micro-processor based circuits) were designed & developed.

He had been instrumental in complete planning / execution of Electronic projects right from concept to commissioning through feasibility study, laying out specifications, development of prototype, testing, documentation, trials, installation, training, procurement of parts, man - power and machinery, production, quality control and servicing etc.

Before joining Ansal Institute of Technology, he worked at various levels, reporting to the Managing Director, responsible for all the technical activities and functions, relating to organizations’ all electronic products, projects and services.

He has frequently visited abroad for interaction with foreign collaborators for technology transfer, adapting the same to meet the Indian customer requirement and cost reduction through phase indigenisation programme and improvement / upgradation.
