DR. H.S. SAXENA

Dr. H.S. Saxena completed his M.Sc. (Mathematics) with specialization in Theory of Elasticity and Theory of Electricity and Magnetism in First Division in 1970 from Agra University. He was awarded Junior Research Fellowship for conducting research work in Mathematics leading to the award of Ph.D. Degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.

During the period of his research work for the Ph.D. Degree Dr. Saxena worked on various types of Inclusion Problems in the Theory of Elasticity of Anisotropic bodies. Dr. Saxena was awarded Senior Research Fellowship (Sept, 1974 – May, 1975) and Post Doctoral Fellowship (May, 1975 – Dec. 1975) from Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Delhi to work on some crack problems in Isotropic & Anisotropic Elasticity at Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT), Bhopal.

 

Dr. Saxena worked on various Faculty positions during the period 1976 – 1988 at the Rivers State University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He worked as Visiting Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. During this period, Dr. Saxena taught Mathematics courses and published several research papers on various types of crack problems in Isotropic, Anisotropic and Thermal Elasticity with Prof. R.S. Dhaliwal and Prof. J.G. Rokne.

In 1991, Dr. Saxena joined Devi Ahilya University, Indore. There, he worked in various dimensions for developing a new self-financing University Teaching Department as International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS) offering Masters of Management Sciences (MMS) & Master of Computer Applications (MCA). He became Reader, in 1997, at IIPS. Dr. Saxena completed his MBA from Devi Ahilya University, Indore.

He was Coordinator for the MMS (5-year) program as well as Center of Vocational Studies (CVS) offering Master of Public Relation Management and Master of Tourism Administration. Dr. Saxena has been Warden of IIPS Boys Hostel and Deputy Chief Warden of Devi Ahilya University, Indore.

Dr. Saxena joined Ansal Institute of Technology (Ansal Institute) as Professor & Coordinator in the year 2000. At Ansal Institute, Dr. Saxena has been working for the development of the Institute in all fields encompassing academics & administration. He is Chief Warden of Ansal Institute hostels.

His areas of interest are Theory of Isotropic & Anisotropic Elasticity, Integral Transforms, Operations Research, Numerical Techniques, Simulation and Modeling, Discrete Mathematics and Financial Management. He has published 23 research papers in international journals of repute.

He has also guided projects of MMS students. Dr. Saxena has been Life Member of Indian Academy of Mathematics (Indore chapter).
