| Dr. A. K. Yadav
completed his Master's degree in 1989
and Ph. D. degree in 1995 both from IIT Delhi.
Prior to joining Ansal Institute Gurgaon,
he worked as Lecturer & Senior Lecturer at
G.J. University Hisar for more than five years.
There he taught M.Sc. students the following
subjects: Computer System Organization, FORTRAN
& C Programming, Numerical Techniques, Applied
Mathematical Modelling and Operations Research.
He also worked at IIT Delhi as Senior Scientific
Officer for about two years. |

He was selected as Research Engineer in early 1996
by a French Software Company but preferred to be in
academics as he considers teaching to be his first
love.
Dr. Yadav has published 17 research papers in journals
of international repute and a few are underway. His
current research interest is in the area of modelling
& numerical simulation. He has had several stints
abroad in connection with his research. During his
Ph.D., Dr. Yadav was invited to work on several research
projects at North Carolina State University, Raleigh
NC, USA, in 1995 under an MoU signed between IIT Delhi
and NCSU. He was the first visitor under that MoU.
In the summer of 2000, he got another invitation
from a renowned professor in San Jose State University,
San Jose, California, USA and worked there on a few
research projects. He has attended and presented his
research work in several international conferences
in India and abroad. He has co-organized an international
workshop at University of Brunei, Brunei, in November
1999.
He has been awarded two UGC sponsored research projects
(one major and one minor) with funding over Rs. 1.5
lacs. Dr. Yadav was nominated twice for the coveted
"Young Scientist Award" of the Indian National
Science Academy. This prestigious award is given to
a select few - the promising young scientists of the
country.
Since 1987 Dr. Yadav has worked on several platforms
such as ICL Mainframes, HP Minicomputer, CRAY, VAX,
SUN, SGI, Macintosh and IBM PCs. He has extensively
used FORTRAN & C Programming in his scientific research,
and state-of-the-art packages have been utilized for
analysis by him.
Dr. Yadav is a life member of the following professional
bodies: - Indian Society for Technical Education -
Indian Meteorological Society
He takes active interest in sports activities, particularly
volleyball, athletics, swimming and weight lifting. |
